Saying No to a Non-Medical Partner

When I founded VIV Wellness, my vision was crystal clear: to create a space where patients are cared for with medical expertise, ethical integrity, and unwavering safety — a place where each person is treated as an individual, not just a transaction.
That's why I made an early decision that often surprises people in this industry: I chose not to take on a non-medical partner.
Medical aesthetics is rapidly growing. New medical spas seem to open every week in Dallas, and many are operated by individuals without a medical background. On paper, they're business-savvy. They know how to market, scale, and present the numbers in an attractive light.
But here's the issue: when you're not a medical professional, you view a med spa primarily as a business — not a medical practice.
And when profit takes the lead, standards start to slip. Corners get cut. Risks get taken. And the people in front of you — the patients trusting you with their faces, their health, and their safety — are the ones who pay the price.
I've heard it from providers we've hired: "At my last job, we did this…" And my response is always: "But not here. That's not the VIV standard."
At VIV Wellness, we intentionally do things differently. Every decision we make and protocol we follow is grounded in medical integrity and client safety. Here's what that means for you.
We don't just hire anyone with a license. Our team is carefully chosen based on experience — years of proven, results-driven expertise; commitment to education — providers who are passionate about learning the latest science and techniques; and patient-centered care — people who understand that every face, every story, is unique. If someone doesn't meet these standards, they don't join the VIV team. Period.
Even after hiring, each provider undergoes comprehensive in-house training to learn our protocols, technology, and philosophy. This guarantees that when you walk through our doors, you will receive the same high level of care, safety, and attention, regardless of who you encounter. At VIV, we're not here to be "good enough." We aim to be exceptional.
As a physician-owned and operated practice, every treatment plan is overseen and guided by medical experts.
In aesthetics, you might not notice the risks — until something goes wrong.
Using an incorrect laser setting can cause burns or permanent pigment damage. Improper filler placement might lead to vascular occlusion and scarring. Poorly trained injectors can leave you with asymmetry, lumps, or worse.
That's why we hold ourselves — and every member of our team — to the highest medical and ethical standards. Because when you're trusting us with your health and appearance, "good enough" isn't acceptable.
When you choose VIV Wellness, you're selecting a clinic where:
To everyone who has trusted us with your care: thank you. You are the reason we are so dedicated to doing things the right way — every time, with every patient, no exceptions.
And to those of you looking for a clinic where integrity, safety, and excellence are non-negotiable, we look forward to welcoming you to the VIV family.
Your safety. Your beauty. Your confidence. That's what drives everything we do.
